I am the proud owner of a new 2000 Savage. It's my first bike and I love it! Got it two weeks ago.
I've only rode around my small town in NW Florida and taken short (less than 10 miles) trips down the highway.
Yesterday, I had to take my bike to the dealer for the 600 mile service. The dealer is an hour-and-a-half drive away at highway speeds. Well, I'm sure that I will want a windscreen for a drive like that again!
Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions on what windscreen I should get and how effective it is against the constant bonbardment of 65-70 MPH winds.
It would be a plus if it was removable for the drives around my small town and easy to put back on for highway trips.
I've seen the one Suzuki offers and it looks nice, but I'm not sure how effective it would be. JC Whitney also has some that are removable, but again, I'm not sure what I should get.
Anyone with experience with windscreens, please help guide me in the right direction.
